Character Creation Guidelines

These are guidelines to help any one member determine a good character.

First:

Choose a character race from the tab found in this section. With it you will find special racial abilities that will help define your character as well as a general background of that race.

Second:

Determine the type of character you want to play combat wise. Is your character going to be a hardcore melee fighter, a powerful magician, who knows, you decide. Once you know that, then you can determine what starting stats to allocate to yourself in the future. Don't worry to much on this step for as you grow in levels, your character will grow to and you can set your stats accordingly.

Allocate your stats. By reading the Stats guidelines also found in this tab, you will find exactly how to determine and set your stats.

Third:

Choose your weapons, armor, and other equipment

Fourth:

Create a biography for your character. A good biography will include a hometown, childhood, traumas, how they came to be who they are now, personalities, hobbies, and other general background information. These are merely guidelines and some great background stories can come from future role-plays. It is all up to you to decide.

Finally:

Post your characters background story into the Character Introductions tab found on the homepage. That will get you started as a level 1, rank 1 character in the wonderful world of Ecalphri.

Don't be shy to flesh out your character as much as possible.

The only rock solid rule to character creation is this:

THE CHARACTER IS NOT YOU!
